Frequently asked questions
How do datacenter proxy servers work?
Dedicated Datacenter proxies route your internet traffic through servers located in Datacenters. These servers act as intermediaries between you and the websites you visit. They mask your real IP address and provide you with a different IP address.
Why Are datacenter proxies important?
In addition to improving website speed, Datacenter IPs also allow for anonymity in user and bot requests. Since Datacenter proxies do not belong to an Internet Service Provider (ISP), any attempt to trace where a website request is coming from will lead to an IP from the Datacenter rather than the original request. Additionally, Datacenter IPs are cheaper than other types of IPs.
How to check if a proxy is a DC proxy?
You can use the ipinfo.io tool for detection, which allows you to check the type, speed, and current status of the proxy network. If the proxy type shows “Hosting,” it indicates that it is a Datacenter IP.
